CCUS
Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage

Since its establishment, Aragon has pursued a mission to be a global provider of innovative solutions and services for sustainable processing systems within the energy market. Building on this foundation, entering the New Energies and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) markets was a natural progression.

Since 2018, Aragon has successfully developed and delivered numerous CCUS technologies and projects within various parts of the overall value-chain including Carbon Capture, Compression, Purification & Liquefaction, CO2 Handling Terminal & Buffer Storage, and CO2 Injection areas. Aragon has multiple CO2 capture and CO2 purification and liquefaction projects that are either in operation or commissioning phases.

Examples of the Latest CCUS Projects in Operation:

Condensia: Aragon's Cutting-Edge CO₂ Liquefaction Technologies
Aragon has pioneered Condensia, a set of three core technologies—SCR™️, DCT™️, and DCR™️—designed to accommodate diverse applications and capacities. These solutions effectively handle CO₂ purification and liquefaction, with scalability ranging from less than 100 kg/h to several million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
Aragon CO2 Purification and Liquefaction Technologies:

Aragon’s solutions are ideal for CO2 sourced from various processes, such as post-combustion carbon capture, natural gas or syngas sweetening, and fuel cell installations.
Single Train Liquefaction Capacity (As Dry CO2, Liquid Product)

Our systems are compatible with both medium-pressure (MP) and low-pressure (LP) CO2 storage, offering:
- Lowest Power Consumption: Industry-leading energy efficiency for cost-effective operations.
- Superior CO2 Conservation: Ensuring minimal CO2 losses throughout the process.
- Ultra-Pure Liquid CO2: Delivering CO2 that meets all relevant standards, including food-grade CO2 and specifications for Northern Lights CO2 injection.
Aragon provides a reliable, efficient solution for CO2 purification and liquefaction, tailored to the demands of modern industries.
Carbon Capture on Ships and Other Offshore Installations
The International Maritime Organization (IMO), along with other governmental and industrial stakeholders, is targeting a 30% reduction in emissions from maritime and offshore activities by 2030.
Offshore installations, such as rigs, power barges, and FPSOs, often rely on gas turbines, diesel engines, and flaring, which are significant sources of CO₂ emissions. Implementing carbon capture systems is a critical step toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with global decarbonization goals, and ensuring compliance with stricter regulations set by the IMO and national environmental agencies.

In collaboration with Seatrium, Aragon offers the SEARA end-to-end solution for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). This innovative system integrates seamlessly with both existing and new installations on ships and offshore platforms, providing an efficient and scalable pathway to decarbonization.
SEARA Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) Technology is a cutting-edge solution designed to transform maritime decarbonization. Built on Aragon's proven proprietary purification and liquefaction technology, CO₂ndensia™ and proprietary amine, SEARA-CCS delivers exceptional energy efficiency, maximized CO₂ capture, and CO₂ meeting specified requirements, all within a fully integrated system. Its compact footprint and modular design ensure easy retrofitting, making it an ideal solution for vessels of any type.
