Aragon’s ODEC Nitrogen Expander Cycle Selected as LNG Liquefaction Technology for Perenco’s Cap Lopez FLNG Project in Gabon, West Africa.

Bergen, 2nd of January 2025, we are pleased to announce that Aragon, has been selected by independent hydrocarbon producer Perenco as the LNG Liquefaction Technology partner for the Cap Lopez Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project, following Perenco’s Final Investment Decision (FID). This strategic partnership represents a significant milestone, underscoring the shared commitment of both organisations to advancing innovation and excellence in the LNG technology sector.

Aragon’s ODEC Nitrogen Expander Cycle, renowned for its unparalleled reliability, safety, and ability to adapt to the specific demands of FLNG operations, has been designated as the preferred technology for this pivotal initiative. The technology’s ability to optimise LNG production while addressing key challenges such as operational flexibility and environmental sustainability, made it the ideal choice for the project.

The CEOs of Aragon, Dixstone and Perenco, gathered at Perenco’s office in London to discuss the next steps for the successful progression of the project. The meeting demonstrated the importance of close collaboration, engineering expertise, and stringent safety standards as the companies work together to ensure a seamless transition to startup.
