Organisation changes in Kanfa Aragon (29 June 2009)

Effective as from the 18th of June the Board of Kanfa Aragon has appointed Kristian Utkilen as the Managing Director of Kanfa Aragon. Mr. Utkilen replaces Mr. Thor Kvinge who has been appointed Project and Financial Director. This change in the management has been contemplated as pait of the development of the company considered by the founders of the company.

At the same time modifications are made to the Basis Organisation of the company according to the attached organisation chart.

Kanfa Aragon signs contract with Samsung Heavy Industries (22 January 2009)

On the 22nd January 2009 Kanfa Aragon AS signed a Contract with Samsung Heavy Industries Co., LTD in Korea for the development of a liquefied natural gas production topside to the world's first Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Production Vessel. The contract confirms a letter of intent previously entered into between the parties.

The FLNG topside will be based on Kanfa Aragon's liquefaction technology. Kanfa Aragon's scope of work includes the design and engineering of the liquefaction plant as well as procurement of major equipment items.

The contract value is approximately USD 200 million. The vessel will be owned and operated by FlexLNG. The vessel will have a gas processing and liquefaction topside with an LNG capacity of approximately 1.7 mtpa (million metric tonnes per annum) LNG.

Kanfa Aragon is focusing on gas technologies and applications with a range of skills, competencies and experience. Together with the Kanfa group, Kanfa Aragon delivers advanced gas treatment solutions for FPSO projects worldwide.

Kanfa Aragon Signs LOI with Samsung on Floating LNG Production (11 July 2008)  

Kanfa Aragon AS, a subsidiary of Sevan Marine ASA, has today signed a Letter of Intent with Samsung Heavy Industries Co., LTD in Korea for the development of a liquefied natural gas production topside to the world's first Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Production Vessel.

The FLNG topside will be based on Kanfa Aragon's liquefaction technology. Kanfa Aragon's scope of work includes the design and engineering of the liquefaction plant as well as procurement of major equipment items. The contract value is estimated at approximately USD 200 million.

The vessel will be owned and operated by FLEXLNG and will be ready for operation late 2011. The vessel will have a gas processing and liquefaction topside with an LNG capacity of approximately 1.7 mtpa (million metric tons per annum) LNG.

This agreement represents a break-through for our technology for floating LNG production and puts us in an excellent position to take our share of this growing market. We are proud that our topside solution has been chosen for the world's first floating LNG production vessel, underlining Sevan's capability to deliver fully integrated solutions for floating production of oil and gas, says Jan Erik Tveteraas, CEO Sevan Marine ASA.

An extra three new employees have joined Kanfa Aragon (2 June 2008)

At the beginning of June another group of three joined the team at Kanfa Aragon. Terje Helgesen has joined in the position of Senior Instrument Engineer and Elisabeth Haaland Lindmo and Mildrid Lyssand Eide have both joined as Process Engineers. Kanfa Aragon's growth continues to exceed expectations.
 

Three new employees at Kanfa Aragon (5 May 2008)

At the beginning of May three new employees joined the team at Kanfa Aragon. Geirmund Vislie has joined in the position of Safety Manager, Anders Eriksson in the position of Process Engineer and Roar Mathisen in the position of Senior Electrical & Instrument Engineer. With the addition of these new members Kanfa Aragon's expertise and competence has further grown and developed.
 


Olowi HP compressors successfully delivered (11 April 2008)

On 11th April 2008 four HP compressor modules for the Olowi project were delivered from Singapore and shipped to Dubai Dry Docks in the UAE for the Fred Olsen Production Knock Allen FPSO, whose final destination will be the Olowi field in offshore Gabon.

Each 300 ton module consist of a 4 stage reciprocating compressor (at inlet pressure of approx 5 barg) driven by a 5MW electrical motor and with associated auxillary systems. Discharge pressure of 175 barg and capacity for each module is 25MMSCFD. With this delivery Kanfa Aragon's scope of work for the Olowi project has been successfully achieved.
 

Another new employee at Kanfa Aragon (10 March 2008)

At the beginning of March Tom Haylock joined the team at Kanfa Aragon in the position of Process Engineer. At present Kanfa Aragon counts 15 employees.
 

Olowi dehydration package ready for shipment (14 February 2008)

On 07 February the TEG dehydration module for the Olowi FPSO was ready for shipment to Dubai for installation on the Fred Olsen Production "Knock Allan" FPSO.

The dehydration system consisting of the TEG regeneration package and a glycol contactor column are engineered and delivered by Kanfa Aragon AS as part of parent company Kanfas overall topside EPC contract with Fred Olsen Production.
 

One new employee has joined Kanfa Aragon (2 January 2008)

At the beginning of January Sara Monte joined the company in the role of Document Controller & CAD Operator.
 

Contract awarded with Apache North Sea Limited (07 September 2007) 

Ref. Press release from Sevane Marine AS:
"Kanfa Aragon AS, a subsidiary of Kanfa AS, has been awarded a contract from Apache North Sea Limited in Aberdeen for delivery of three Gas Dehydration Systems for their Forties Alpha, Charlie and Delta Platforms. The total contract value is more than NOK 30 mill.

The Gas Dehydration system shall replace the existing systems on the three platforms which have been in operation from the early seventies. The Gas Dehydration systems are removing the rest water content in the produced gas. Water in gas export or the injection system can result in ice and hydrate plugs which can harm downstream equipment and facilities.

This contract is confirming Kanfa Aragon’s position as leading supplier of advanced process solutions for handling an conditioning of natural gas. We expect this to be the start of a long term relationship with Apache North Sea Limited, a cooperation we are convinced will be profitable for both parties, says Thor Kvinge, Managing Director of Kanfa Aragon AS."

  

Two new employees at Kanfa Aragon (5 September 2007) 

Two new experienced engineers started to work for Kanfa Aragon in September. Svein Erik Aarland has started as Process Engineer and Petter Rikstad has started as Mechanical Engineer.

With the latest employments Kanfa Aragon have increased from a staff of 5 engineers to 13 in only 9 month. The target of at least 15 employees within the end of 2007 is close to be achived.

Three new employees at Kanfa Aragon (15 June 2007) 

Kanfa Aragon is continously growing, and three new engineers have started working for Kanfa Aragon in may/ june. Richard Johansen, Remi Åsnes and Rikke Soltveit have all three started as Process Engineers.

Kanfa new shareholder in Aragon

At General Assembly in Aragon Gas Processes AS, it was decided that Kanfa AS, a member of the Sevan Marine Group, shall acquire 50% of the shares in Aragon. At the same time, the company’s name will be changed to Kanfa Aragon AS. The two companies already work in close cooperation on ongoing projects. The Kanfa ownership in Aragon will become a significant strengthening of Aragon, both marketwise and financially.






$66 million contract with Fred Olsen Production (05 December 2006)


Aragon Gas Processes AS this month signed a contract with Kanfa AS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sevan Marine, for delivery of a dehydration module, a fuel gas compressor skid and the low pressure gas compression unit for the floating production vessel for the Canadian Natural Resources Olowi project off Gabon. In addition Aragon will take responsibility for purchasing process of the gas compression trains which is major part of the Kanfa delivery for the project.

Kanfa will undertake overall FPSO topside responsibility under a $66 million contract with Fred Olsen Production.








Aragon Gas Processes AS - A new Norwegian gas technology company (01 November 2006))

This month a new Norwegian gas technology company has been established. The company’s name is Aragon Gas Processes AS. The goal for the company is to become a leading international supplier of total gas handling and processing solutions for floating oil and gas production.

Aragon is owned by a group of senior engineers with extensive know-how from the international oil and gas business. Aragon is located in Bergen. 

Aragon will focus on the FPSO and ship-owners market and serve these companies with EPC deliveries, process modules, engineering services and studies. Aragon will provide solutions and systems for recovering, conditioning, converting and transportation of natural gas.

Thor Kvinge (tkv@aragon.no) is appointed as Managing Director and Kristian Utkilen (kut@aragon.no) as Technical Director in Aragon.
