Gas Compression Systems

Aragon has significant experience in compressor design and solutions. For FPSOs, gas compresion covers export compression, reinjection, gas lift, low-pressure separator gas recovery (boosting), fuel gas compression etc.

Compressor selection is always based on the specific process conditions, and will usually involve some of the following types:

• Centrifugal compressor
• Reciprocating compressor
• Oil injected screw compressor
• Dry screw compressor
• Rotary vane compressor
• Liquid ring compressor 
• Rotary blower
• Centrifugal process blower (fan)

Kanfa Aragon has lately supplied four reciprocating compressor packages for the Fred Olsen’s' Knock Allen FPSO. The installed modules are shown on the picture to the right. The modules, delivered by Flotech to Kanfa Aragon, were commissioned successfully during first quarter 2009.
